On 24 April 2021 the Extension of Line 3 of Sofia Metro to Gorna Banya Opens

In one week, on 24 April 2021, the new section of Line 3 of Sofia Metro will start operating from Krasno Selo through Ovcha Kupel to the Ring Road of Sofia by Gorna Banya. The four new stations are Ovcha Kupel, Moesia - New Bulgarian University, Ovcha Kupel 2 and Gorna Banya. The opening ceremony is on Lazarus Saturday, 24 April, at 10 am at Moesia - New Bulgarian University station. The trains will start operating in the new section from 12pm onwards and the in the openeing day the trips from the new metro stations will be free of charge.
